What does a Reprogramming Mind Modality of Self-Hypnosis Feel Like And Why Don’t Surgeons Do Stage Surgery?

What is the hypnotic state and what does it feel like?

Can a hypnotherapist actually make you quack like a duck?

Well we’ve all seen movies , stage show or heard about people that have taken part in preposterous things as part of a hypnotic show , however what really is possible?

A fundamental principle in hypnosis is that you cannot make anyone do anything which violates their core beliefs and values .

The hypnotic state is a very soothing and enjoyable state, no more difficult than just shutting your eyes and relaxing. Your attention might wander , or you could remain alert the completely time.

However the hypnogogic state is very important, as it is a time where you can tap into your full potential and access resources you normally aren’t aware of .

Standard areas where hypnotherapy is extremely helpful include dealing with smoking habits, losing weight through hypnosis , focus and concentration, dealing with exam nerves, boosting self confidence, getting rid of phobias and more.

If you would like to try a simple sample of self hypnosis, use the following steps:

  1. Stare at a point on the wall or ceiling in front of you for around 30 seconds or until your eyes defocus or you get bored.
  2. Shut your eyes
  3. Have three deep breaths and let your body relax more a little with each breath
  4. Reopen your eyes again.

Shambam…you just experienced self-hypnosis.

No big deal.

Many people believe that hypnotherapy is all about being under someone else’s control .

It couldn’t be further from the truth . You are going to be in greater control than you normally are when you go into hypnosis – you can slow your breathing, your heart rate and lower your blood pressure.

When people attend a hypnotherapy or NLP training, they are close to always surprised that it is nothing like what they believed it would be and it is frequently a revelation as to how much control we have and the true potential inside of us.

Hypnosis is particularly beneficial in helping to deal with undesirable habits  such as nail biting, over eating and  self-sabotage.   The biggest tragedy with hypnosis is that it’s power is easy to use however it’s reputation has been somewhat tarnished by stage hypnotists you use it as a form of entertainment.
Is it truly necessary to illustrate the potency of hypnosis by making fools of willing participants while inadvertently planting a fear in the audience that a hypnotist can cause you to act like an idiot?

You would never see a surgeon amputate a persons nose and then proceed to implant it on the patients forehead,  all for the sake of entertainment.  If surgeons did stage surgery, people would be even more fearful of doctors, surgery and the entire medical profession.

Hypnosis has more power than we realize and the reason being is because it is a tool that enables our minds to be used for greater self-empowerment.  Using hypnosis  to make fools of others, robs every audience member of the privilege of experiencing clinical hypnotherapy as one of the easiest reprogramming mind modalities presently known to man.

Perhaps surgeons should do stage surgery so that the fear of doctors increases while the willingness to see a hypnotherapist increases?
